Weekly Program Management: We manage every aspect of your program on a week to week basis to ensure you are maximizing your effort training. You can expect less than 24hr turnaround time from when you submit your plan to when the updated version is delivered to you.

Includes Movement Coaching: We aren’t just looking at numbers. We ensure all of our athletes are working to be as efficient as possible to prevent injuries and express more of the strength they already have. Everything included in Movement Coaching is included here.

Athlete Dashboard: This is where you submit your training plan, videos, and any other feedback each week. You’ll also have links to our video library, Facebook group, and your Coaches calendar so you can schedule phone or Skype calls whenever you’d like.

We look at movement quality, injury history, available equipment, days you want to train, sleep habits, hydration, and many other factors. All of this information comes together in your training plan specifically for you.

What is virtual coaching?

This is our flagship and most popular Virtual Coaching service. Weekly Virtual Coaching includes comprehensive assessment and engagement to promote the best possible coach/athlete relationship. Our team has spent years building systems and processes to help optimize and provide the best possible feedback and direction forward week to week using various methods of autoregulation, frequent feedback, and video analysis. We view this coaching as a long-term athletic development process, not just a 12-week program to peak you for a meet. This means we’re devoted to the holistic picture of helping you to improve in the direction of your specific goals and approaching them from all possible angles to help you to the greatest degree possible.

Something that sets us apart from other coaching services is that we are exactly that, a coaching service. This is not a template or even just an individual program. Our goal is long-term development of the individual and we try to cover all the bases for that as it relates to training. In addition to receiving an updated training program weekly, you will also be given a movement plan at the beginning and as needed later which gives technical cues to work on based on video analysis, and corrective drills to begin to address faults in technique. This helps us ensure we’re developing movement quality in conjunction with other athletic qualities to help optimize not only your performance but also longevity.

Remote coaching has some unique obstacles not present during tradition in-person coaching. Most challenges revolve around communication which is why we’ve created systems to manage multiple communicatory paths. We combine the objective information provided in your training log with the subjective information provided in your weekly check-ins to decide what needs updated and ultimately to determine how effective the training is. Ultimately, once you become part of the Kabuki Strength Team you become the most important person to us. Your goals become our goals and we only have your best interest in mind.

While we primarily work with strength athletes (powerlifters, weightlifters, strongman, etc.) this is a service that has benefitted individuals from all walks of life. “I came across Kabuki Strength after completing my first novice PL comp. I wanted to find a coaching service that not only focuses on their athletes getting stronger but also their longevity in the sport. Being in the personal training industry myself for 10+ years I’m a strong believer in pain-free movement under load and individualised movement systems to improve clients weaknesses, limitations based on their exercise or injury history.

At 6’4 my priority was always to be as pain free as possible while getting stronger (impossible right?). I first signed up to the Kabuki Movement video library which I became obsessed with and spent hours and hours watching all the videos and making notes to apply to my sessions. Its like these guys spoke my language. Every niggle or issue I’ve had in the past they had covered in a video and explained why/how to correct it. Within days I was hooked on Kabuki Strength and had booked my initial consult online with Brandon Senn and my coach to be. They introduced me to velocity-based training and autoregulation. I immediately saw the benefits of this within my first block. The personal movement plan was a significant part of the coaching since it managed and eventually eradicated all the niggles and restrictions in my main movements. “I’ve been working with Kabuki  Strength Virtual Coaching since September of 2015. Prior to that, I had been lifting for 10 years. In that time, I’ve tested out a wide variety of different programs and training philosophies and seen success with many of them; however, I had become frustrated with my lack of progress and knew it was time for a change. As someone with their B.S. in Exercise Science and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, I was hesitant to go outward and seek help. It seemed as if I was admitting defeat. Looking back, it was the best decision I could have made for my training. Despite my background, it can be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to be 100% objective when writing your own training. I’m proud to say that since I began my journey with Kabuki Strength, I’ve added 20 pounds to my squat and deadlift and 30 pounds to my bench while dropping down two weight classes.

Kabuki, to me, is like a family that is always there for you. They support you and lift you up. I wandered into their facility with a hip injury wanting some information on movement drills that would help me squat again. I already had an online coach but wanted some one-on-one in-person help. Not only did Brady help me with my squat, but he also took the time to look at my deadlift and bench. A couple months later I attended Chris Duffin’s birthday and deadlift party at Kabuki and met Sarah Ross. She encouraged me to message Brandon about their coaching services. Over the next couple of weeks, Brandon patiently and quickly answered every email I sent him. I joined up soon after.

The onboarding process was amazing. They took the time to get to know me as a person and what goals I had for myself. They weren’t just interested in looking at my 3 lifts. I was given personalized drills to complete during my warm-ups to assist with the lifts I would be performing that day. Anytime I needed a little extra one-on-one, Cassandra always welcomed me into their gym to assist me at a time that worked best for us both. My hip eventually healed, and I kept getting stronger. I attended my first meet where my coach (who had just come home from her honeymoon and was on the other side of the country giving a seminar) took the time to skype me and mentally prep me for my first meet. She went over numbers with me, gave me advice and words of encouragement. I took first in my weight class at that meet.

Anytime I have ever needed help or advice, someone is there to answer it. I never feel like an idiot coming to them with my questions or with something that needs clarification. I recently started a new job after my first competition and my schedule completely up-ended. When I wasn’t getting in my training because of this, Cassandra reached out to me. She helped me figure out a way to make things work for me and my schedule. I never feel alone with Kabuki. They always have my back and want me to be the best version of myself.”

Signing up for the Virtual Coaching was one of the best decisions I have made.  The information that you have access to in invaluable.  They break down complex concepts in ways that everyone can understand, either through your coach, the Kabuki seminars or on Kabuki.ms.  Communication with your coach couldn’t be easier.  This isn’t a one program fits all mentality either.  The coaches take the time to listen to what you want to get out of your training and tailor the training to your needs.  Believe me, I signed up to train for powerlifting and then decided to run a marathon.  My training program completely changed to help me not only with endurance but also with strength.  I completed the marathon in October of 2017 and completed my first powerlifting competition in December of 2017 with PR’s in all three lifts.  With open and constant communication, my coach tailored my training programs for these two extreme opposites, just two months apart.  Keeping me injury free the whole time.  I don’t think I would have been as successful in either discipline without my coach.

Singing the praises of Kabuki Strength is easy when you are an elite powerlifter: Chris and his team are the best of the best and an inspiration for all high-level strength athletes. However being a weak 40-something corporate rat from Europe with no prior experience in powerlifting, I must admit I was slightly skeptical as to the impact of Kabuki’s virtual coaching on me. But I took the plunge anyway, and god was I wrong.. . Despite being on the other side of the world and being a complete noob, Chris and Brandon have delivered an incredible experience that I did not expect at all. I have been with Kabuki for 2 years, and the amount of progress I have seen at my ripe age is nothing short of amazing. Coaching elite athletes is very rewarding but the mark of a truly great coach is when they can make someone as mediocre as I improve so much.
