Managed 1-on-1 Training with a Pro Coach

As a 1-on-1 Virtual Coaching client you will receive a 100% individualized training program designed to fit your current needs, future goals, and long-term development. Your program will be curated and delivered by your coach in our powerful data driven excel training logs. Each training plan is rooted in scientific principles that are applied to your specific needs through the experience of our coaching staff.

Accompanying your training plan will be a tailored movement plan with pre-training warm-up and off day movement drills. Much like your training plan, your movement plan will evolve as your needs change and skill improves. Each movement plan comes with a written description of how to perform the drills and link to EDU+ videos walking your through each movement. This plan is designed to keep you out of pain and increase your performance.

In 2014, Kabuki co-founder and elite powerlifter Chris Duffin's online coaching business turned into a professional operation as we expanded our in-house coaching team and developed a comprehensive development program for strengh athletes; combining our expertise in movement mastery with an educational curriculum to optimize all aspects of the training lifecycle.

Movement Plans

One of the unique differentiating factors of our 1-on-1 coaching service is the time and attention spent assessing, correcting, and optimizing the athlete's movement pattern to squeeze out maximum efficiency while minimizing the risk of injury.

Competition Prep

If you are a compeitive strength athlete with hard goals for the platform, our coaches work with you to integrate proper peaking cycles in your periodized long-term development plan. Competition prep is a mental game as much as it is a physical one!

Data Management

Training technology (like VBT, HRV, etc) and our deep understanding of how to integrate different subjective and objective variables into a training plan allows for continual optimization and autoregulation, resulting in better performance.

What kind of training or programming methodology do you guys use for athletes?

We use a movement-based principles approach to custom build your training plans based around your body, movement patterns, injuries and or goals. Not tow plans are the same from our coaches as one size does not fit all.

How do I receive and access my training?

In the Kabuki Strength training app! Not only does it house your training data, and videos but it stores historical data for quick reverence along with some of our critical educational videos from Kabuki EDU+

What’s the difference between Kabuki 1-on-1 coaching and app training included in a Kabuki EDU+ subscription?

Let’s clarify the difference between coaching and programming, a lot of the industry thinks these are the same thing, for us they hold a major difference. In the app training (included with EDU+) we have created some of the best programs out there from our coaching staff, however there is no “coaching” to it they are amazing programs with demonstration video and educational resources for you to follow along with. In our 1-1 coaching we offer the very best custom programs available based on your goals. You will receive weekly updates and edits to your “evolving” program, along with weekly video reviews and access to your coach. We are with you every step of the way!

Do you only work with powerlifters, or with other athletes as well?

A common misconception is we only work with powerlifters because as a company we have rootes and many employees have competed at a high level in powerlifting.
